I have thought Lisa would leave because it seemed like she was on air so seldom...she had her special shows but not much else. I know she brought a flair and style and grace to the presentations and I have to wonder who will fill that gap...perhaps Sandra. Lisa will be missed along with the other Lisa, Judy, Kathy, Bob, etc. Current host hires have a long way to go to meet those standards...I do like Alberti and Nancy and again Sandra. Have to wonder about the other long-time hosts and their feelings about remaining or departing. I think Lisa will move to Italy where she seems to be most happy.

I was thinking of this just this very morning............Alberti and Sandra would be a good match for PMS. I enjoyed seeing them co-host together on a fairly recent show.

Sandra Bennett, has recently been filling in for Lisa on PMS, and I think she would make a very good replacement along with Alberti! Some of the young ones are too silly and talk too much and too fast!

I'm not getting into the guessing game about Lisa's future plans. I do know that 20 years is very, very long time to do one job or to be with one company. I do know that as youthful and vibrant as she is; she's knocking on the door to 50 and if she ever intended to make a career change, she had to do it now. Time is not on her side. I also think that she's probably tired of "selling stuff". I know I would be sick of it after 20 years. As for who will be the next "queen bee" at QVC. I don't think QVC will ever allow a host to attain the stature that Kathy Levine and Lisa Robertson had. Yes, I think they will assign a permanent host to PMS but I don't think there will be a "replacement" for Lisa. The current crop of "younger" show hosts just don't have the that "star" quality that Kathy and Lisa had. I must say that every time I see Alberti, I am impressed. I think he'd match up well with Gabrielle or Amy, if QVC decided to revamp PMS.

I just think that QVC is phasing out their higher-salaried employees, and Lisa is the latest to go. I suspect that during contract renewal negotiations, they were asked to take lower pay, less benefits, or cut their hours. I suspect Mary Beth Roe decided to cut back since she is now on the day shift and is not on air as much as she used to be. She also used to be one of their "prime" hosts. I think Lisa Mason and Lisa R decided to leave the Q instead. A lot of businesses are cutting the pay of their present employees. And then they offer their new hires much less pay and benefits.

I've been watching QVC since 1997, and of the "originals" at that time, only Mary Beth, Rick, Jane, Pat D., and David are still there, with Lisa now leaving.

Lisa R is making a gracious exit. She isn't making the same mistake Star Jones did when her contract wasn't renewed with "The View" even tho I thought Star was being completely honest about it but Babs didn't like that. Babs wanted Star Jones to "sugar coat " her reason for leaving.

Lisa Mason also made a gracious exit, and if I remember correctly, she announced it about 4-6 weeks before she left, which was also in December. Rumors about her leaving started a few months before she announced it on air and she denied it for awhile, too.

That is probably why Lisa R announced it now -- before the rumors got started. Things like this don't stay confidential for long--remember the rumors months before Star Jones and Elisabeth Hasselbeck left "The View" ?

I wish Lisa Robertson well in her future endeavors. She strikes me as being a very hard worker, and her next employer will be fortunate to have her.
