Just finished our run at the Isle of Palms! Gino smoked me! Sped past me like a bullet! Each day I see My Beloved simply loving and living life! We await next scans in a month or so. But, for now, we just ignore the "c" word!!!! God bless you!!

Thank you all for your continued love and concern for my Gino! I am thrilled to report that his scans show no cancer in his brain and all other sites continue to shrink! It is hard to believe that one year ago I almost lost him. Today, he feels wonderful, has an exceptionally great quality of life and is full of energy.
I share this with you for a very specific reason. One year ago, I found the courage to remove him from the doctors who were treating him at that time. Those doctors gave us very little hope and said immunotherapy would not work for Gino.
I found a new doctor who would talk with us about immunotherapy. And then, he put Gino on immunotherapy even though it wasn't "approved" for Gino's cancer. That treatment, by the grace of God, is why my Beloved is with me today.
If you are facing late-stage cancer or are a cancer caregiver, please TRUST your gut and get a second opinion!! If your doctor won't speak with you about immunotherapy, speak to another doctor.
Keep digging, keep searching. Above all, keep the Faith! God bless you!

Sooo happy for them! In the past, she has posted that, even when he wasn't feeling very well, she'd see him on the phone, offering support and advice to other cancer patients. What a great guy.
