I have an LG dryer that's several years old. The sensor dry feature worked well for the first 4 years or so, but hasn't been as effective and tells me the load is dry when it's still quite wet. I just use the time dry feature if I want to be sure a load dries without my checking on it.

The sensor dry is terrible, no matter what amount of minutes,it says ,it shuts off, clothes still damp.

@goldensrbest   I don't have an LG but I just bought a Maytag dryer and it has sensor dry.  Is it something about the sensor that that you want to talk about?

Just that the sensor dry is useless.

Consumer reports rated the LG dryers as best.

does it have a selection where you can select more or less dry

mine has more dry and very dry

also it says not to put lightweight and heavy weight items together so when I put towels with light stuff I select more dry

I don't have mine connected to water so I can't use the steam cycles
