The word is:  technology ...

Every product now has "newest technology" ... everything from socks to fireplaces to shoe insoles ...

Have you noticed ??

No, but I work in the microchip industry and all we talk about is the Internet of Things, so there's no "latest overused" component for me. Now that everything from light bulbs and thermostats to clothing and jewelry are connected to the internet, I expect I'll hear it a lot more. And it's accurate, so I don't feel like it's being overused. I feel like a word is overused when it's a buzzword that's being used inappropriately or strangely, like when people say they're running out of bandwidth or need to interface with another person.

No, you are not a robot and don't need to worry about running out of bandwidth before you interface with someone. Just say you need to talk to someone before you get too busy.

I'm becoming annoyed with the overuse of "meh."

@ladyroxanne

I thought it was slang, but IDK...wiki says the "origin is unknown... Some have speculated that the term's origin is Yiddish because of its similarity to the interjection 'feh.'"  (Yeah, that was helpful!)

meh

    • unenthusiastic; apathetic:
      "everyone else I talked to was kind of meh"

1990s: apparently popularized by the television series The Simpsons...

"Out there" and "Don't go there," when l'm just talking. I'm not actually out anywhere, or going anywhere.

For me it's "Awesome".  I know it's been overused for quite some time now but I'm still sick of hearing it.  Can't stand hearing it on TV constantly!!

 It's gotten to the point that everything is awesome but when everything is awesome it no longer is.
