When I owned the travel agency we did group tours to a Christmas market every year, it was a great trip, we only took 18 people and usually had it sold out by Memorial Day each year! The European holiday markets are terrific, I think we all love them so much because they US has over-done the holidays.

A few years ago our neighbor's son got married in Heidelberg Castle in Heidelberg, Germany in December.  We had been neighbors for 30 years so we had to go.  It was like a fairy tale.  The wedding and the reception were both in the castle and it was just magical.  Heidelberg had some wonderful Christmas markets and the town was beautifully decorated for the holiday.  We also spent a few days in Munich and shopped in the Christmas markets there.  Walking around, looking at all the handmade gifts, listening to the sounds of the season.  It was so festive!

Thank you for those wonderful pictures! Oh, how beautiful!  I would love to see this for real.  And the puppy is very photogenic!
