Is this true?
If so, maybe we can demand that they are tested withing 24 hours of doing a rape kit.
Just a thought.
I watch a lot of 'real crime' and have seen numerous cases where the rape kit was just filed without testing. BUT, near as I can recollect, these were cold cases so probably the technology was not available at the time to get a result that would lead to much more than a blood type.
I'd sure like to think that now that there IS the technology they test the kits and enter the info into CODIS or something.

Unfortunately, it's rare that anyone cautions parents to instill respect in teenage boys and emphasize this should never, ever be done. When someone says no, they mean no.
Any parent raising boys needs to keep this in mind.
And I would say to any parent raising "girls" to teach their girls not to LIE and make up stories about supposedly rape as did in the Duke story and countless others. Many teachers reputations have been runined by disgruntled girl students mad at their teacher for a bad grade, etc.

Yes, let's forget about victims and assume they are all lying.
Our real concern should be for the perps.
Holy Moly...

Have some girls lied about being raped?
Unfortunatly, yes.
It is because of those few, that makes it so difficult for real rape victims to come forward, or to be believed.
But make no mistake every rape claim shuld be taken seriously, until the investigation prooves otherwise.

Way to go Hollywood you put your exploitative band aid on it and can give yourself a big narcissistic pump on the back.
Sorry after the poor performance by Gaga at the Grammys I am gagga out and did not think her once again over the top performance was that great.

I don't understand your criticism. The Oscars is an awards show for the best of the movies for 2015.
What were you expecting?
I think I was pretty clear on my comment which is my opinion. I don't expect anything from Hollywood. They tried their best to sweep under the carpet the continuation of what they themselves do. While calling out everyone else.
If it was just an award show it would not take so long. It also is a political statement that basically this year should have been themed Do as I say not as I do.
@AngusandBuddhasMom, I don't understand. Why do you bother watching 3 hours of an award show if you don't enjoy it? Just wondering.

I thought her performance was powerful and very moving. She is very talented and has a beautiful voice.

Waving to @Noel7 !!! Good to see you. Hope all is well. It has been very busy here and I don't get as much opportunity to drop in as I used to. That is a good thing though!!!

Hi sunala,
I didn't. I watched the pre show and the live show until 9. Then Walking Dead and Talking Dead are on back to back. So during commercials I would catch snipits.
Don't get me wrong I love watching the Oscars I just think this year it felt as if it was falling over itself in trying to take the spot light off of the fact that it is racist. I also think if Jada Pinkett Smith had not spoken out it would of been business as usual.
