@PinkSunset Why is it disgusting? Is it disgusting what he was doing in your eyes? Many people do what he did. It is not disgusting.... it is just the way he was. News is news. Everyday public figures are called out for doing " the dirty deed". Nothing alarming about it at all.
I am sure his wife found out what was going on before it came out in the news. Who knows... perhaps she already knew about his double life.
@SeaMaidenWow. So putting those drugs where he put them isn't disgusting? And "many people do what he did"? Are you still referring to where the drugs went? I guess I just live a sheltered life!

Pretty sure that his wife, family, friends and collegues knew about his lifestyle. How could they not unless they were in denial. The Coronor's Office always issues a cause of death especially under suspious circumstances. He died in Days Inn in Glendale.

I just feel the details of anyone's s-x life should be left private.

For years now I've said that too much information is given out on everyone. Whether it's a burglery, an accident or a death there is so much stuff we as a public do NOT need to know. And, we don't need pictures to show us what happened either.
Why did they have to show the room where the Tate murder was? Why do they have to show the car that was involved in a fatal accident? Why do they have to give every detail about a death? I wouldn't want to be a family member seeing any of that, nor reading about it.
A local man was missing for several weeks. They serched quite a few times, but then one day they hunted in a new location. It would have been suffecent to tell that he had commited suicide. They didn't need to lead with the headline of how he passed away. It's none of my business.
If the family, later, after they have had time to process what happened, then IF they want to say something to a support group, that is THEIR decision. But, the newspaper had no right to put it out there at all let alone as a headline.
I always shout "How stupid" when they report a robbery of a home, and they say that the robber missed the coin collection (or whatever) in the closet.
They just give out too much information about everyone, and even more if it's someone that has some sort of fame.
It's more like gossip than reporting.

Get used to it. We have no privacy anymore.

@shoesnbags It is called "boofing." Actually dangerous and can often lead to death...
gives a rapid onset of euphoria. So I guess for those who choose to do this find it worth it. Disgusting? No. Stupid? YES.

I tried to read the Sac Bees account but I was over my free article limit so I read the FOX News account online. I’m sure the account was not as graphic as others here are citing. One thing I did get from this is that some life might be saved because of the report. It states that a rock of meth placed internally, anywhere in the body can lead to an overdose and death. Hopefully, this information might save someone’s life. The newsman’s passing is a sad event. It is a shame that the circumstances of his death are being exploited but every cloud does have a silver lining. Let’s hope this becomes a cautionary tale.

In addition to the crystal meth, huffing alkyl nitrites probably
contributed to his death, as well.
The cautionary tale is as old as the hills:

I must have slept through my Googling101 class because I'm not seeing anything other than generic reporting of his death. Maybe that's a good thing for me, though.
