Kylie Jenner sold a majority interest, 51% of her Kylie Cosmetics Co to Coty for $600 million. She will stay on with the company on the creative end of the brand, using her creative and social media skills. And she still owns 49% of the company. Source: People online
It certainly proves that you don't necessarily need to be any genius to be rich in this country. And it also proves a lot what is valued because think about what teachers in this country make as just one example and some woman who makes cosmetics with a family known for their crazy antics...the discrepency in pay. Boggles the mind..

Congratulations Kylie! Good on her. Kris Jenner, management skills-investing wisely is the reason K brand reaps benefits.

Without Kim's disgusting sex tape with Ray J, no one would even know who any of them are.
Kim was just a stylist to Paris Hilton before that and a 'closet organizer', LOL!
IMO, a sad testimonial as to what our society has become.

Wow.
That Family Empire is g.e.n.i.u.s
Amazing how their business acumen is razor sharp, spot on.

Good for her. She has parlayed something she has a passion for and now she's a young female billionaire. A legitimate one!

ITA!
Tho'....can we also call it a 'J' brand, as well?
Both Kylie and Kendall Jenner are standing firmly on their own.
I love how they 'collab' with each other.
And with Kim's new 'Skims' line, that whole family is a force
to be reckoned with! Kris Jenner is one smart cookie!

I haven't seen it, have you? I'm still interested in them in a passive sort of way. I think they've gone way, way beyond a sex tape. At this point everyone who's anyone has one. 😂😈😜

Kylie is smart to sell a majority in her beauty brand. The beauty industry’s bubble is starting to burst and color cosmetics are being purchased less as young teens through millennials are buying skincare products instead. But did her skincare launch go very well? Is anyone repurchasing her stuff?
Coty’s last big beauty purchases of Clairol and Covergirl from Procter and Gamble a few years ago hasn’t gone very well and they are looking to offload their Clairol Professional division which includes OPI, Wella, and GHD. I see nearly all of Coty’s brands they own end up at T.J. Maxx eventually.
Even Coty’s prestige fragrances end up at TJX stores.
Undoubtedly Coty must think that Kylie can bring her social media touch to their brands too and I guess we’ll end up seeing if this deal works out or not for them.

Actually I have. Way too gross to discuss.
And while they may have gone way beyond a sex tape now, I stand by my statement that this is where it all started.
They mean nothing to me, I could not care less who likes them or doesn't like them, that's your right, I'm just saying that I personally avoid them at all costs, which is almost impossible to do.
But I try!
