Krissy has gone completely blind - help from anyone with experience in this area

Krissy has had glacoma in both eyes for quite some time. She's had muliple laser surgeries in one eye, that eventually could not be saved. The other, we've been treating with drops to keep the pressure even and also to preserve some vision for as long as could be done.

We took her, yesterday, to have what we thought was going to be laser surgery to preserve vision for a period of time and also relieve pressure in that eye.

We were halfway home and got a call to come back, because Krissy had failed "the function test"?

I found out that during the test the dog is encouraged to walk through an obstacle course to determine the extent of their vision.

I've been going back and forth for years (both eyes total), having pressure tests, other eye tests and one eye eventually died. So okay. Then, the other eye.

Why weren't we told that we could have Krissy take the function test to determine the extent of her vision, during this two-year period of time?

Why have we been paying for these drops - not cheap - and going for pressure checks but the dog hasn't been taking this obstacle course test?

Now, we have to pay over $1,000 to have the eye ball taken out to resolve the pressure which is painful. Or, we can pay $500.00 a piece for two injections in her eye, to make sure pressure won't build up and cause pain.
