I wasn't going to post about this, but here goes . . .

Since my beloved sister died in August 2011, and starting a few months later, I have been experiencing a strange phenomenon. Often, not every night or every week, but often, I have been hearing a very loud knock . . . knock on my bedroom door. This always happens as I am awakening, definitely not while I am still asleep, but as I am becoming conscious. It is always the same, the amount of seconds between the "knocks" are always the same, and it's very loud, as though the person doing it is right on the other side of my bedroom door. And it always happens around 5 AM. I have attributed this to some kind of half dream or just my imagination. It does not scare me. I thought it would eventually end, but so far it has not.

I just found out that when I had my "procedure" on my back several weeks ago, they had put me into "twilight sleep." When I came out of the room, still lying on the table, I was laughing. And I am told I also said "who is that fifth person standing there?" Until just recently I had no knowledge or memory of this. My niece told me a few nights ago, and two of my daughters acknowledged it when I asked if this was true.

I am astonished because as some of you may know, I am not religious, nor spiritual in any way. I do not believe in life after death.

I still think there must be a reasonable explanation for all of this. But I am wondering if any of you have any thoughts. I took my sister's death very hard and am still struggling with it. The "knocks" I can still explain away, but I can't explain away what I am told I said after the back surgery, because my three daughters and the doctor witnessed it.
