Kinkling Day (on Shrove Tuesday)

As a creature of habit, I cannot let this day pass without doing my annual salute to "Kinkling Day."  Perhaps you call these doughnuts “Fasnachts” or “Fastnachts.”

[I had discovered a lovely Vietnamese restaurant in Fairfax, Va., where I could buy something similar to my beloved kinklings but the place closed down.  No more kinklings for me, I suppose.]

I know them as Bismarcks.....some folks call them Paczki
