Huh? I didn't see a single post that "bashed" royals. I certainly don't think it's
"bashing" to say that you don't believe in the concept. It's quite AMERICAN, you know that little thing called the American Revolution....

Well here sits a proud American and if I was introduced to the royal couple and was expected to bow you can be sure about this even with my very bad bones I would bow the very best I could manage. If this is their custom to have people bow down to them I would consider a honor to do it. To me this couple are part of royality and I admire how well they carry them selves and respond to people.

I might bow my head slightly in acknowledgment, but no way would I curtsy. Remember the American Revolution? We are under their dominion--no more!

Sorry...I don't bow to anyone. And I don't put anyone up on a pedestal....except my mother. Everyone else? They get up every morning & take a ---- like I do, so...we're all equal.

Bowing and curtsying were signs of paying to royalty homage. It is in no way an American thing and I would show no sign of paying that to ANY foreign power.

Would you bow and bend the knee at a Jewish temple. How about the sign of the cross at a church and not being of that religion?

I didn't think Americans were expected to bow to them??
