Those for 'gender selection' .... you have no problem with what happens to those eggs not used; and in her case, the female eggs? The trash word that someone used earlier is where they go.

I'm not going to state whether I believe in gender selection or not, but I will put in my 2cents regarding the russian roulette of natural gender production.
It's a very interesting study because left to nature, the world's population tends to produce a percentage more males than females. War, risk, males tending to perish more often than females from birth onward. Nature has cleverly balanced this so that when humans reach reproduction age there are roughly the same male to female ratio in order to propegate the continuation of the human species.
So you can see that there's a natural balance to all this that IMHO probably shouldn't be tampered with unless we (as the human race) understand that there can possibly be circumstances associated with it......

I think the word is biological waste...but I get your point.
I think a lot of people assume (incorrectly) that they go to other families...or they are used later.
Gender selection IVF needs lots of fertklized eggs...they are sorted and the ones not needed are sent off as waste (they used to be incinerated and/or buried in a special landfill).

ALL IVF involves lots of wasted embryos...the Catholic Church considers it killing....and it's not allowed under any circumstances (if you follow every rule & reg).

I agree. Why would I care what she or anyone else does in regards to this? I have heard of plenty of families who do this so it isn't something new.

Since "celebs" (and I use the term loosely with these two, lol) like to name their offspring strange names, I wouldn't be surprised if they name their son Designer, since that is what the kid started out as and what his mom and dad think they are. BTW, I have never purchased anything that either of their names have been attached.
