When I watched the verdict today, I could not help but feel it was juror #4 who was the holdout on Man 1. She was seen shaking and crying as she left the courtroom. I also could not help wondering if other jurors didn't pressure her given the holiday. Who wants to be sequestered over Christmas?
The judge said they would be allowed to go home for Christmas.
Thank you. I didn't know that. I couldn't watch yet another trial.

I should better trust my gut. In a bit of research I find that there is no law allowing a sequestered jury to be unsequestered. If, however, Judge Chu chose to do so, it could easily lead to defense calling a mistrial.

If the situation were reversed and the kid accidentally killed her, would you feel the same?
Not so much because the kid was the one with the rap sheet and the one being stopped for legitimate reasons who then tried to resist arrest. That doesn't mean he deserved to be shot, but it does mean that it was his behavior and his bad choices that created a really unfortunate domino effect.

IF! Ok, if the "kid" had followed orders given legally by Law Enforcement?
Why some want to do the if situations were reversed escapes me. Had the victim not broken 2 Minnesota laws, he would not have been stopped. Then proceeded to Resist, what? Showing proper ID/Registration/Insurance.
Would I have felt the same? Put me on your if Jury and I could tell you my opinion based on the facts of the case.
Remember the "kid" was the Law Breaker, not the Police Officer.

IITA. Today, those that break the law and most of them resist arrest, think they can get away with breaking the law . Unfortunely, he didn,t.
I feel sorry for her and his family.
She clearly made a huge mistake. They have split seconds to think.
in today's climate, everyone is afraid of riots, so a lot of decisions are political.

I watched the video this morning which clearly shows her outstretched arm with gun in hand partially inside the car, She had to have seen her own hand with the gun in it, clearly not the taser, so how could it have been an accident, don't believe it. I approve the verdict.

That is an excellent point, and I guess that most would say no. If they are being honest.
Apples and oranges...

@teganslaw... Probably so, but you know accountability only goes in one direction now... Apparently, we're all supposed to consider 'thug' a legitimate occupation...

The hoilday was likely a large part of this verdict.

@Greeneyedlady, don't bother with those who have been conned into disbelieving the truth before their own eyes. It's sad and is ruining whatever polite society we had left. Blaming black victims and holding up white male shooters who kill blacks or blm as heroes is a sickening and degenerate act. But here we are. I try not to think too hard about it.
Let these people revel in their hatred because that's exactly what it is. They lose in the end.
@JamandBread I wonder if his victims would agree with you. While you seem to revere him I'm sure they would tell you a different story.
