although I don't buy her clothes, she offers a choice.  She is woman working hard in business where women have to do twice the work to get on a par with men. They have controlled the industry for a long time.

I do think by looking at QVC's inventory online, they have cut waaay back. Even the jewelry. Lack of a lot pure gold rings, mined gems. Everything clad.  They used to reign in this area!!  No one sold the gold jewelry they did.  They had so many assorted clothing brands.  I suppose internet has changed everything, and they are clamoring to provide inventory .  Just a guess

I do not understand the complaining about anything on QVC. If you do not like a brand do not watch or buy...very easy. If enough people do this the brand will disappear. If a retail store is not to your liking you do not shop there. Treat QVC the same way. Complaining does nothing, but your pocketbook speaks volumes.

I guess I don't understand why there is so much Kim bashing on these forums. If you don't like her or her line, don't watch. Easy peasy. Personally, I give the woman a lot of credit. I think she's a bit overexposed, but in business you have to strike while the iron is hot.

As far as her clothing line goes, I don't find it cheaply made at all. I've said numerous times on here that I am a fabric snob.I sold clothing for 20 years and I can smell cheap, inferior fabric a mile away. Only one time have I had to send something back because I was disappointed in the fabric and construction. Considering how much of her line I own, consider that a win!

Do I wish more of her clothing was made in the USA? Of course. But I can say that for every retailer I shop at! đź’–

I'm a fan of Kim. Although I have never bought any of her merchandise.

I did read her book. Which was wonderful, and I recommend it. In it she describes how QVC matched her up with their designers in NY and their manufacturers abroad. It doesn't sound like she actually designs clothing. She provides ideas. QVC often nixes her ideas. Sometimes she argues with them. Sometimes their preferences prevail. Sometimes they follow her lead. It's a give-and-take.

It sounds like she's mostly an on-air spokeswoman and seller. QVC's designers are the ones in control.

Still, I give her credit. She's a force of nature. I admire that. I admire how she's made her way in this difficult business. Not easy for a woman to do, even these days.

Im a fan of Kim and her jeans.  Just to let you know Kim does not schedule her shows.  QVC does that.   I do agree her items have gotten expensive and so has the Logo Line.

The only shows I seem to watch a little are the gourmet food shows and the beauty shows.  QVC fashions do not appeal to me.  I stick with J Crew, Anthropologie, etc...

As far as Kim goes, I just cannot listen to her voice for very long.  I also get distracted by the heavy makeup and her clothing line reminds me of Quacker Factory.  A big NO from me.

Re: Kim Gravel Take Over

Yes, QVC should celebrate Kim's success.  However, one does not need an MBA to realize it is unwise to "put all your eggs in one basket."  I personally cannot tolerate loud sales people, so I avoid her presentations. I buy clothing where they

offer petite sizes in classic styles.
