Wonder if he's changed his tune now. Statements of getting anywhere with barbarians like these radical islamists are pure idiocy. Love? These cretins have no knowledge of that word.

Seriously?
He's the POPE, of course he is going to continue his path of love.
We, on the other hand, are free to go after the bad guys.
Your cheap shot at the Pope is inappropriate imo.
OK so does this mean there are no longer ANY armed guards either at the Vatican or anywhere the Pope travels??
``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
Yes the Pope has guards. No need to be so disagreeable. High profile ministers here have guards as well so what's your opinion on that ? They preach the message of peace as well.
So then it's the just the rest of us who should fight with weapons of love - not those preaching it?
He isn't condoning murder....he is the Pope....he should preach hate? If so, that would make him a candidate for President here not a Pope. I am not a Catholic but he is a man of God....Easter, forgiveness?
16 nuns and nurses were killed when the Father was kidnapped. This is the same pope who felt the need to say those who are into building walls were not christians.
***************************
And you don't understand that?
SMH
BTW, "Christian" is written with a capital C.
No Noel, I don't understand that. BTW, I will write christian's anyway I choose.
Father Thomas Uzhunnalil, 56, was taken by Islamist gunmen, reportedly linked to ISIS, who attacked an old people's home in Aden, southern Yemen, killing at least 15 people, on March 4.
The terrorists reportedly carried out the heinous murder on Good Friday, after threatening to do so earlier in the week, according to the Archbishop of Vienna
@esmeraldagooch- I had heard they were going to do this but didn't realize it was done. It is amazing they know so much about us and Christianity; animals
This group knows everything about their enemy.
"Forgiving" is not to say that something should be allowed to continue. To allow citizens, children, and peaceful people to be tortured and terrorized is not in any way Christian in my belief. If the world turns a blind eye to things like this, there is no hope for civilization. And I am talking about civilized people.
Well, IMHO, love would have meant that he should have offered to exchange himself for the kidnapped priest.
Nor is Amish bashing.
