I bought the Keurig k-55 in December of 2016 I've had it 2 weeks 2 days ago I turned it on went to brew a K-Cup and the noise that came through the machine horrendous. I wasn't sure if at that point it would just stop working. I've read all the reviews I could find on why this noise occurs and sadly it seems a common problem that Keurig isn't all that interested in fixing or solving. I have till the end of Jan 2017 to decide if I'm going to keep this brewer or return it. I work extremely hard for my salary and can' t afford to just waste my money. Maybe it is best to stay with the old time drip coffee maker like Mr. Coffee. Seems it would be in Qvc's best interest to make Keurig fix their brewer's problems than to continue taking their loyal customer's money. Thankyou!

Take it apart and give it a thorough cleaning. It does need maintenance at least once in a while. We clean our mini once a month with vinegar and my dh takes it apart and blows out all the plastic lines. You'd be shocked at how many coffee grounds end up in those lines.

@Kgrous Just curious because we probably bought ours at the same time. We've not had any problems. Did you register on-line? And did you call Keurig about the problem and they ignored you?

When is the last time you descaled the brewer? If not recently, that might be your first step (directions can be found online).
Ours will start to get loud when it is need of descaling. Although the machine has a built-in reminder, when I can hear it turn on in the morning and begin heating the water, I know it's time to descale thething.
