I don't know how they (the cc co.) know or suspect .... but they did suspect fraud against my card.
Somebody tried to buy a Apple computer on my cc!!!
There was a thread in one of these forums just a couple of days ago about these automated calls. I screen calls and ignore these because I'm not interested in anything they're trying to push.
I was getting one twice a day since Wednesday. This was beginning to feel unusual.
A little bit ago ... for some reason in my gut ... I decided to log into that cc account and it told me this account was not accessible. It gave me a cs number to call.
I guess I'm asking you to pay a little closer attention when you get one of those calls and it keeps coming day after day. Somebody may be using your credit card. Call the cc company and check on your account.
Now .... I don't know what all I will need to do. I know a fraud investigation will happen and I'm not responsible for the charge. Will get a new cc... they told me that much. Is there something else I should be doing I haven't thought about? This is a new experience for me ... any advice appreciated. TIA, Tabby
