Very nice wedding pics! I'm very happy that she found someone again after losing her 1st husband so young! Hope she and her new husband have a long, loving marriage!

I believe Katie Couric received a lot of hostility from CBS's "60 Minutes" crowd (remember, she was one of the contributors to that program as well as the evening news anchor) much the same way Barbara Walters was snubbed by Harry Reasoner at ABC when she (Walters) became co-anchor of the evening news, along with Reasoner. Loyal minions often reflect the attitudes of the revered old guard in any group, and so it is not easy for the new, unpopular newswoman to gain acceptance. And some of the most respected journalists on "60 Minutes" were outspoken about their dislike of Couric. That must have been hard to live with.

In my opinion, it wasn't so much that Katie Couric was a difficult person but more a case of being ill at ease among people who resented her presence. Thus, they would celebrate her departure if they did not welcome her in the first place. When you think so many years have passed since Barbara Walters got the same frosty treatment at ABC, and the same thing happened to Couric, it makes you shake your head in wonder. Odd, too, since the lovely Diane Sawyer does ABC's evening news so effortlessly. I guess they were pleased to have her on board.

Her crocodile tears for her late husband Jay didn't fool a lot of people. It had been widely reported that they were on the verge of divorce. And her show of wearing his wedding ring around her neck made me gag.

Yes, she did a lot of good for the cause of cancer that killed him (I don't recall what it was).

Never liked her, never will, not matter how often she gets married or what she wears. Flame away, I couldn't care less.

The only reports that rumored that Katie Couric and Jay Monahan's marriage was in trouble were the usual National Enquirer type garbage papers and magazines and we all know how factual they are.

I have also read and it has been widely reported that you are a mean and hurtful, negative Nellie. But I don't believe everything I hear as it can't be possible that that is true of you. Right? You have a great attitude in that you could care less what folks think of you. That way you can live in your own little dream world, safe and smug.

And just for the record...it was colon cancer.
