It will be such an historic occasion, I would think a tiara would be the most appropriate. It is just a few days away, so I am sure they have already decided what she will be wearing, from head to toe.

I am not planning on watching the entire coverage, but do enjoy seeing the outfits and regalia that will be worn. i especially love the gorgeous hats the ladies wear...including the tiaras.

Did you actually read this somewhere, or is this speculation on your part?

I've read in a few places that Charles expects Kate to "tone down" her outfit so attention isn't taken away from him.   What is she supposed to wear ... a burlap bag?

Remember how he used to get upset when Diana got more attention than he did?  That might be why he feels so comfortable with Camilla ... with her, he is definitely the prettier one.   Woman LOL

Well that's what Diana told the press anyway.  And H&M claimed he - and everyone else as well - were similarly jealous of Meghan.

And yet it was Diana and H&M who seemed to  be the attention seeking ones.  Interesting how that works.

If there is such a thing, perhaps a low-key tiara is in order.  I agree that it is a formal event, and tiaras are worn at formal events.

Camilla will be in a crown, won't she?  Or will it get switched out for a tiara later?

i think a low-key tiara is a headband.....Woman Happy

I watched the coronation of Queen Elizabeth in 1953. Now I get to watch the coronation of her son 70 years later, so yes I'll be in front of my TV!

Not that I didn’t believe the OP, but I had to Google and there are quite a few stories on this. Admit I didn’t open them up, but one of the headlines commented how she was doing it to honor the king’s love of nature. So, if what others are saying about nobody (other than the king and queen) will wear tiaras, then it may make sense (but I’m also team tiara)!

Nobody does celebration like the Royal Family and I am here for it. I hope Kate does wear a tiara but something different than the one she usually wears. They have boatloads of jewels in the vault and I want to see them open that vault wide.

That was how many years ago? I am sure he has matured and looks at things a bit differently now.

Well, the news blurb about Kate having been warned to "tone down" her outfit was less than a month ago, so I would consider that current commentary, and that things haven't changed.

I would love to see her wear a tiara but if not just having Charles and Camilla wear crown suits me fine.  No one should upstage either of them, same way the bride and groom should be the center of attention on their wedding days.  The last coronation in Spain was very subdued due to the scandal and so was the last coronation in Belgium.

King Charles toning all down is a wise decision and if he did not all heck would break loose for the critics.

Kate will wear whatever she's told to wear. Either is fine with me.
