That's what I said, brii. Instead of making this a teachable moment, she's thumbing her nose at the various entities who want her to stay put.

Instead of being a great PR model it's become a disaster. By quarantining herself to show that there is no reason for it, she could still have been thumbing her nose but in a more "acceptable" way.

There were 100 other ways she could have demonstrated her displeasure of the process. This in-your-face defiance isn't going to win the medical community any fans. It's a shame really.

I think it's her attitude that is so off-putting to many. As a health care worker this could have been the perfect opportunity to educate the public about the reality vs the fear. She could well have said a quarantine isn't necessary, self-monitoring works but to show the general public that they have nothing to fear, I will quarantine myself for 21 days.

At the end of the 21 days I will walk out of quarantine as healthy as the day I started it.

She could have been a pioneer in showing that the fears are unfounded.

I think she is very selfish and uncaring. I'm sure she is hoping to collect big bucks. She seems strange and clearly likes being in the spotlight.

My impression too. Still SMDH at the thought that this woman, who is not ill, should stay in her house for another 10 days to appease public fear. She's not a martyr, nor should she be.

I love her stand-up- for- herself, no non-sense attitude.
