Cold, and I mean cold in Amarillo like in 20's, foggy today. I waited till it mostly lifted and took off had out smarted most of the people Wed by laying in food then and gassed up the car.

Had to pick up library DVD's for the weekend and few other necessities and steered clear of the Walmarts and Uniteds. Just got few things at a off the wall store

Came home and my ring finally came ! Purdy thing !

HSN order came too, so, I'm in for the weekend.

Map shows it's coming in from your direction, so, your probably freezing too. Got thermostat on 72.

@SharkE.  Yes, it was very cold here too and breezy so we had a wind chill thing going.  It misted and sleeted all morning, then late this afternoon we got about 1" of snow.

They say the one coming this week-end is stronger, colder.  We're expecting 13° Tuesday night.

@Kachina624 13"! Wow! I am in Texas so I did not know about a big storm brewing up your way. That will certainly help with the drought. Take care.

I'd rather have summer. Don't care for winter at all.

Tx. has 2 climates.

Hot as hale half the yr.

Cold and windy the other half.

Fall, I miss. Weather in the 70's, trees turning colors.

If you can find a tall tree it might look pretty for a few days, then, the leaves fall off.

@SharkE.  Yes, I missed those things tremendously when I lived in Texas, and i hated having to turn on the AC in order to cook Christmas dinner.

I like New Mexico because we have four seasons, beautiful autumn leaves, chilly winter weather but I could do without the summer heat.

We finally got our snow yesterday evening and ended up with 2-3".  Pretty outside this morning.  More to come this weekend.

Are you getting snow today?

@On It   Our storn should be your storm by now.  We woke up to a few inches of snow this morning.  A bigger storm and extremely cold weather coming this weekend, then another storm next Thursday.  They say there's another out in the Pacific too far to predict.  El Nino finally kicked in.

Not 13", 13° predicted, although they've now changed that to 9° with a high of 25° next Tuesday.

@Kachina624 The reports I have seen say 8" in the village 12" at the ski area. Problems developed with how it fell. The first part of the snowfall happened in the morning. A second round came later in the afternoon. The police advised last night to avoid driving. There was ice beneath the snow. I guess from melting of the earlier snowfall. Lots of accidents.

Maybe all of those systems will give New Mexico an abundant water shed this Spring. I am happy for El Niño to keep on delivering. I just had no idea there were that many storms coming through the area.
