This is what I am pretty much hearing by those who have tried both. Huge difference in price but not much at all in quality. Even the colors are almost identical. Kylie did deny they were even alike or when the buzz came out that they were so similar, that they were even made by the same company. Not now though. It doesn't bother me if it is a dupe. Even people choose to pay a lot more for Kylies products, that is their choice. I think it is nice if people who do choose to pay less know that there is an almost dead on dupe though.

The only thing that bothers me about Kylie is I do believe she stole the lip design for her tubes from another makeup artist. I think she stole that idea along with others from this makeup artist and that artist is threatening to sue and I think she has a great case because her work was on her instagram for a long time before Kylie had it.
Edited to add: I have dealt with Colourpop for a while buying probably over 30-40 separate items. Their customer service has been outstanding. Each order I have placed has come with a handwritten note, questioned have been answered very quickly and the speed and packing of my merchandise is great. I do know that one of the huge deals about Kylies brand is how bad customer service has been though I do believe they honestly weren't expecting the huge demand her products have. Still though, once they realized how huge it was they did have ample time to make adjustments and I was still hearing complaints about it. I think you will see that corrects itself though. Hopefully.
Thank you @Irshgrl31201 for your invaluable experience.
Oh, no problem @truffle! Like I said I haven't tried Kylies brand but I have heard literally over and over how identical the formula is but also many of the colors and if you watched Stephanie Nicoles full video I feel the price difference is way too great to pay that much more for something so identical. We are talking about identical ingredient decks on the lippies as well.
Let me say, I have NO PROBLEM dropping a pretty penny on lippies, eyeshadows etc... I do this myself. However, when I do it, its almost always because I can't find a decent dupe whether that dupe be in color or consistency (and quality) or both. I have myself dropped $50 for a Tom Ford (or other brands) lippie, etc... but that is when I can't find something comparable.
Anyway, I know everyone won't like how blunt Stephanie Nicole is but I like her honesty and I feel she is one of the better, more knowledgeable reviewers.
Hope this helps anyone who is interested!

She is still a teenager. Just unreal how that family have parlayed no talent into major income- well all I can say is I can def afford her stuff but won't be buying. Not the least bit interested in anything they peddle.

She's 19 yrs old.
She can vote.
She pays taxes.
When I was 19 yrs old, I had a job, as well.
Lani Lazzari, who developed 'Simple Sugars', pitched on
'Shark Tank' & products are sold on QVC is in her early 20's.
She was only 19 yrs. old when Mark Cuban partnered with her
on Shark Tank. Young women can be empowered just as anyone
else. As a woman, I support that idea 100%.
Kylie is making her mark in the beauty/fashion/real estate industry.
She's just a workin'gal like the rest of us...
As for the OP insisting 'sitting down' is ridiculous,
that could be a mall thing...city code. I'm 99.999& sure
Kylie didn't take pencil to paper and wrote out the 'rules'.
I'm sure the Police Department, Mall Security & City Codes
are being enforced no matter who's store it is.

I've said before, I think she is a Kim Wannabee. She looks more like Kim every day. To me, the most normal one in that family is Kendall.

Mama Kris knows how to market her daughters. Kris is the mastermind in all their lives, these girls would be nothing without their Mom.
