Kohl's has warehouses too.  I think the comparison is fair.

@DJs mom   I think their philosophy is that if you schlepped to a store and the store doesn't have it, they'll send it out for free because that's the least they can do (even online only items!) Also, I went to the store last evening to use the kiosk for the one item I wanted after looking online, just to get the free shipping.  No doubt Kohls is counting on while I'm in the store, I'll look around and maybe buy something else (I looked around but didn't buy anything else -- this time).

I have attempted to order a couple of times from Kohl's. One of the most customer-unfriendly sites I have ever tried to use. I no longer bother. There is a store not too far from me, but things seem to look much better on the website than in person. I do like their bedding and bath though.

I love when I shop from Kohls.  I rarely do so, but my package comes before I know it.  I usually track about 3or 4 days after I order, but never get a chance to.  They are very, very fast with processing and shipping orders.

If you are in-store and they don't have your size and you look it up on Kohl's App on your phone and place the order that way you also get free shipping while in store (must connect to Kohl's wifi).

@DJs mom - I think most B&M stores do this. I went in Ulta last week during their 21 Days of Beauty promotion. They were out of the color I wanted. The SA said she would order it online and they would ship it to me for no charge. Sephora does this too.
