Sephora gift cards: if you buy one at a store within a store, e.g., one inside JC Penney, be aware that you cannot use it on line nor at another Sephora store.

Was advised before I bought. Had to go to the Mgmt Ofc. to buy one that could be used at any Sephora or on line. Could only use a credit card there...no cash.

This happened to me a couple years ago. I bought one for my sister at a JCP Sephora. She tried to use it at an actual Sephora & couldn't. At least they told you- we found out the hard way when she went to use it. She didn't have a JCP Sephora near her so I ended up getting her the perfume she wanted. I'll bet they've had a lot of complaints over the years so they make sure they tell you now.
