I love British humor. I often think I’m misplaced by birth. 🤣

Me too!  It's def different from American but still funny IMO.  My dad loved watching Benny Hill when I was younger, so think that's when I first saw it.  Other fave shows:  Keeping Up Appearances & British Men Behaving Badly.  That one was a hoot!

Because elderly will die soon.  Young takes a lot longer.

@layla2450 So, since the thread title was pretty clear, why waste your time on something you're NOT interested in?

@occasionalrain,  Surely you are joking.  It is the context in which something is used.  Most here are able to figure that out.  And in this case, the context screamed.

FYI, it wasn't a "gossip" article and of course Charles is involved.  Not only are they using his name, but also the name of the home, and it's being sold in his gift shop.

JMO, but I'd bet they had to have his full approval before it went to market.

You make it sound like he had nothing to do with it, and it's all being done by T&H.  Obviously, that's not true.

@Tinkrbl44 - Of course, King Charles III had to give his permission before Truefitt & Hill used the Highgrove name and his artwork.  It's called a Royal Warrant.

However, the way "Instyle" worded their article (and headline) made it seem to some that King Charles III is personally selling this item.  Some people will jump to that conclusion, without checking the facts.

He is not and he is not personally benefiting financially from it.  The items in the Highgrove range (including this latest one) are sold by Truefitt & Hill.  They are the retailers; they receive the money from any sales.

Yes, it is sold in the Highgrove giftshop (as well as many other places, I'm sure) and The King's Foundation receives a 10% donation as a result.

I also doubt that Charles had anything to do with developing the fragrance (he's not a perfumer, after all), but it's likely he had to give final approval before it was released.  If it's associated with Highgrove, he wouldn't want something he disliked.  (Who would?)

That's the only point I was trying to make.

Re: KING CHARLES LAUNCHES HIS NEW FRAGRANCE.

I went to the Highgrove House website, and as someone mentioned, the fragrance is not available for overseas shipping.

Penhaligon's, Highgrove Bouquet is also on his website, but also not for sale overseas. However, for $235 you can pick it up (or sample it) at Nordstrom, if you're curious.
