I go to this KFC maybe once a month. About four years ago the franchise was sold. Prior to the sale, it had the friendliest, happiest employees to be found. It also had terrible order accuracy.

After the sale the accuracy problem disappeared, but I've never seen the same employee twice.

Years ago with a young family I worked part time at the Giant. They did time the checkers and I was one.

I thought I was going really fast but I wasn't compared to the long timers.

They did have great insurance for our entire family for part time which I doubt happens today.

Also when I worked at UPS they timed our customer calls (they now outsource them for years).

I just wanted to make sure I really took care of their problem.(the customers who called in).

One of the best places I worked at was McDonald's near the college. We learned so much and so well and our manager made it fun.

Also Marriotts-the best waitress, customer service training ever-but that was decades ago.

So much depends on who is running the helm-they can make or break a business by how they treat their employees.

She sounds like she has mental issues. Even if it were all true, no one would cry over that. You'd just quit walk down the street and be offered about 100 other similar jobs if it really bothered you. There's something fishy anout this story. Besides, KFC is usually super slow when I go through the drive through.

My husband likes KFC.  My daughter won't eat it and I will because we don't get it very often.  KFC in my area is very, very slow.  The few times we went, they're usually out of extra crispy chicken, which is what my husband wants.  If anyone is on a timer there, you'd never know it.  I agree with other posters.  Considering what has been happening in the world these past couple of  years, I think the timer thing is not called for.

That poor girl.  She should go to work at Chik-fil-a. Those are some happy employees!

This KFC is never very busy because it is a few blocks from a Chick-Fil-A, which is always jammed. It made me wonder why the employees would need to be timed when there's rarely more than 5 cars in line.

One thing for sure, there are plenty of openings everywhere if she wants to move.

@Goldengate8361 @She could lose her job and her income if she's not fast enough. That's tremendously stressful. I don't think anything is wrong with her. I think the franchisee is the one with the problem.

@shoesnbags @Goldengate8361 @meem120  They also time the people that take your groceries to the car and load them when you do grocery pick up. ( Harris Teeter)  and I'm sure others. It is a very common thing that companies do to measure efficiency including QVC's customer service employees (certain number of minutes on the phone) and the point system. After so many points then they are let go. Woman Sad
