Love the Moody Blues........saw them once in concert.  What a show!!!  So glad for Justin..........he deserves it!!

@Patriot3  I have seen them many times live in concert and agree -- they put on a fabulous show. Fortunately all the shows I saw were when G. Edge and R. Thomas were still with us.  My sister lives in Bradenton FL and every time I visited  her I was on the lookout for drummer Edge, who lived (and passed away) there.

@Witchy Woman   You are very welcome. I thought of you immediately when I read the news. 🙂

Are they spurs on the back of King Charles shoes?

@Mz iMac  Yep, they are. Go to The Royal Trust Collection website and search spurs. I'd post a link but, well, you know...  Spurs are traditionally a symbol of knighthood...

@stevieb   Thank you for that website.  In interesting read about all the different royal spurs.

At his cornation, KC wore solid gold spurs which were presented & put on during the cornation.   Smiley Surprised  Is that what they were doing behind the curtain? Smiley LOL

Queens have solid gold spurs also but those are kept on an alter.

I don't have the foggiest idea of who he is but congrats to him.  It's lovely that he had his grandson with him.

He was the lead singer and the song writer of many of the Moody Blues songs.  He wrote and sang Nights in White Satin and Tuesday Afternoon, two of his most well known songs.

@just bee, thank you for the photos! I had not forgotten how gorgeous Justin was as a young man. I loved the Moody Blues, from the beginning back in the 60s. Justin’s solo recording, Forever Autumn, is as beautiful as any of the Moody Blues’. Sorry I never got to see them live.

King Charles, Justin and I are the same age. Still, it was a shock to see those two old men! 😂

@catwoman48

Forever Autumn is exquisite.  I mentioned upthread that I had seen Justin H. about a year ago in a small-venue concert.  He is still very handsome and always dresses in a beautiful suit.

This was one of the songs he sang and I swear, I was just about sobbing by the end of it Cat LOL  My husband thought something had happened, when he saw tears streaming down my face.

Honestly, just thinking about it makes me misty-eyed.

@Witchy Woman

I understand completely.  Several of Justin's songs move me to tears.  He is a very talented writer who sets his works to music.  💕💕

There is a very nice article in Forbes about him getting this award.  It is on Justin's Facebook.  I cannot post a link here.

@4kitties

I'll try to get to that Forbes article....I have an ad blocker on my computer and I couldn't see the article without registering or cancelling the blocker.

There may be a way around that, so I'll check it out.

Thanks for pointing it out!

I've been listening to the Moody Blues since the 60s. I saw them in concert a long time ago. They'll always be one of my favorites!
