@Etoile308

They did say that other charges for her were pending because of the minor.

She probably paid him, but I hope he's shown a little leniency and sent to classes, etc. to steer him in the right direction.

We have a long driveway(1/4 mile one way) and have a driveway alarm that alerts us to people coming up the driveway. However,if we are not at home..... This is very disturbing about porch thieves.

It's always worse around the holidays, thieves know that people order some expensive things for Christmas.

I heard about one in my neighborhood yesterday. A nice closeup of a suspected mother and daughter in a Uhaul truck on camera.

Leaving a box with something foul in it is not a good idea. These corrupt porch pirates could be retaliatory, and you don't want that.

I think I read somewhere? that some of these thieves follow the delivery trucks so it is easier to steal.

@Estellee

A u-haul truck. Were they driving around doing their shopping. (Disgusting)

I was so annoyed with UPS on Wednesday. This is the month when porch pirates are very active.  I try to have limited packages delivered during the month of December. Well, I come home it's dark early now and two of my packages were sitting dead center in front of my door with the light shining on them like a Halo.

I am sure that it was a temporary driver, but seriously you could have put it to the side very easily. Give the packages a little bit of cover.  Ugghhh..

What p o's me is it's too much strain on them to hit the doorbell ! It's not hard, push the button. Many a day I've seen on computer "Your package has been delivered" and sometimes shows a picture to boot.

I go "huh?" and run to the front door and there it is.

I'm not crazy about Sunday delivery either. Church goers are not going to be home. I'd rather wait till Monday.   Of course, then, the folks at work have to worry. Just no easy answer.

FYI to people ordering from amazon. they offer a locker, for people to pick up pkgs from. I might be a good idea for some that are in high theft area. Ring door bells, etc are good too. that gives police something more concrete to go on.
