Some of you know that I went to my doctor to quit smoking about 5 weeks ago and I've not had a cigarette since then.
For about the last two years I've had borderline high BP. It was consistently in the high 140s/150s over low 90s. The doctor said they were more concerned about the lower number being over 90.
Yesterday I went to the doctor to have a chat about my borderline high BP and high cholesterol. He took my BP and it was 125/86!!!! Perfectly normal!!!
Doc said he is sure that drop is related strictly to my being smoke free.
I just thought maybe this would be an incentive to someone else to quit. You really can lower your blood pressure and possibly be taken off meds. I had not been put on meds but was that close and I really didn't want to start. I'm kind of a med free zone...lol.
Anyway, maybe this will help someone else.
