I don't know why but this really really made me laugh!

LOL! My grandmother once got a perv call her and ask her if she would send him a picture of her in the nude. Says gramma ""Sure! Is one enough or do you want two?""
Can you imagine?? This really old gramma saying that?? Still cracks me up to think of it.

Years ago we had many calls from various men who always asked for Nancy. "Sorry, you have the wrong number."
This went on and on. Finally, the second summer we were in that house, I answered the phone to yet another man who wanted Nancy. For some reason, instead of quickly brushing the caller off, I told him what had been going on and asked "So, why do all you guys keep calling Nancy?" He roared! Nancy, he told me, was the purchasing agent for an assisted living facility in the next town and all the men calling were salesmen. Not at all as exciting as I had imagined!

Our number used to be one number off from a pizza place and we would get calls all the time. They must have changed their number because we haven't gotten a call in years (and we have no delivery here, just pick up/or eat in).

These gals getting up there in years have a lot of wisdom don't they? My mother taught me the Amazing Grace one. I heard her singing it into the phone one day as a teenager...and I just thought....boy, mom has really "lost it" today.
Then when I heard it was a pervert.....well, I really thought she'd gone over the edge. Page forward a few years and lo and behold I tried it and realized mom wasn't so dingy after all!
Your Grandmother sounds like she was a "hoot".

I have a number similar to a local Chinese takeout place. I do get calls sometimes. It is not bad today, most people program the number into a phone.

Every so often we get calls from ourselves...Our name and phone number show up on caller ID so, finally, this past week, I picked up and was looking forward to having an interesting phone conversation with myself...LOL...It turned out to be an automated call regarding a credit card alert...in other words, some kind of a scam where they try to get you to call them back.
scottie & Preds....love your posts about the "breather"!
Fun thread!

We used that prank in college. We would call the boy's dorm and order a pizza, met more boys that way and what a riot!!
