Just checking about Anti-Virus protections

There are many out there, which do you prefer? I have AVG, was told by our computer repair place yesterday that BitDefender is the No. 1. That's what they have. It costs 50.00 a year. AVG was down on a 1 - 10 scale. So, just was wondering.

I see no one wants to talk about this. Was surprised when I came here now and no one posted.

Gloriajean, We have used Kaspersky Anti Virius for years and have had no problems. We get an email when it's read for renew and renew on-line for 2 years for $79.00. No problem at all. No viruses, or spam or pop ups.

I have used Norton Internet Security for years. I find it easy to use and has been successful for me. It doesn't slow down my Windows 7 products.

I agree we have been very happy with Norton for many years as well.

Kaspersky for me. Used to have viruses and pop ups all the time. Not any longer.

Thanks for your responses! Never heard of Kaspersky but had Norton for many years until for us it got quite expensive and one of our reliable computer guys who came to the house to fix them, recommended AVG as that's what he has. Now that was a few years ago, and I just found out that AVG is not the best - but Bidtfender is, so guess we'll go with that since I had so many infections that AVG didn't get. Not yet, AVG isn't up for renewal yet.

Thanks again, it's good to get ideas what other are using.

Kaspersky is arguably the best, in my opinion, as well as the opinions of top experts in the field. I've had it for about twelve years with no problems ... none.
