Cleaned out a lot of the perennial beds, didn't mess with the annuals as I leave a lot of those plants in the beds for the birds to pull the seeds out during the winter and yes we will still have winter.
But, oh it felt so good to clean up the yard, pick up sticks and rocks (we have a lot of both if anybody needs any) and get down and peer into the ground to see what is starting to grow.
I winter over my mini roses in pots and some of my bigger mums - I took them out and set them on the porch of the guest cabin so they can start to get used to the sun - will put them back inside before we go out tonight. Then I will do the same every couple of days until it is warm enough to leave them out for good.
It is seventy degrees here, the sun is shining, the sky is blue and I am getting impatient to plant my impatients
