We went this past April and could not believe the amount of people walking up and down the strip smoking pot. More people smoking that than cigarettes.

We were told that you can buy it in Las Vegas but it is not legal to smoke it in your room or inside the casino of course. Visitors who purchased it also could not take it home with them if they flew in. So what were they going to do???? Smoke it while they were walking up and down the strip. So much craziness over that, we were told by an employee that the city council voted to have pot lounges but I have no idea if that happened or if they are on every street corner. I could just picture people asking where the pot lounges are. Crazy.

I used to go to Vegas often in the good old days. I am not a gambler. I went for the entertainment and the food. I enjoyed the strip when everyone was dressed up to go to dinner and a show. I didn't enjoy it after it supposedly become "family friendly". I haven't been back there in almost 30 years.

I have never visited Las Vegas, but I'd like to go to see a show or MMA match. Plus, the inside amusement parks and if they have a water park, that would be fun too. I've never gambled so I doubt that would be my thing other than putting a few dollars in a shot machine just to see what happens.
Glad you had a nice trip!

There is a huge pot dispensary right off the Strip. Its called Planet 13 and worth a visit whether you do or do not do pot. DH and I plan to buy their stock as soon as pot is federally approved ( within a year or two).

The last place that I would want to go on a vacation. Don't understand the appeal.
??? What is the point of this post? If you want a refrigerator, pay for it.

Went to LV about 20+ years ago to celebrate my 40th birthday. Stayed at Treasure Island. Saw the Siegfried & Roy show - it was fantastic. It was mid-October and the weather was wonderful and really enjoyed it as well.
Regarding today, I'd love to go back and see what all has changed. However, I wouldn't want to stay in a room where people were smoking weed. I don't think you can get that smell out and to me it stinks as bad as a cigar.
I'm glad things are getting back to 'normal' and people are enjoying themselves and businesses are once again thriving.
