Thank goodness someone cares about gun control. If your first statement were only true.

But if you're like me, you'll forget where you put the thing when Christmas comes.

Right now I'm trying to find gifts I bought for my daughters and grandchildren.  I didn't wrap them (they didn't seem to get to Florida) and I don't know where they are here.

Ever put something in 'a safe place' and it turns out to be so 'safe' you can't remember where that 'safe' place is?  Now when I say 'safe' I mean I will surely be able to remember where it is.....but..surprise....I forget where the 'safe' place is.  (Phew!  That was a mind teaser putting that down here).

I have stuff everywhere.  I just got back from Florida.  You know how you'll be doing something and suddenly you think, "Where is that ??" and go off looking for it?  I do that all of the time.

Okay...have  you been spying on me???  Laughed out loud when I read your post...my life exactly.  But the worst is when trying remember and find the "safe" place,  all of a sudden I think of something else I need and then start looking for that thing.  Seems like I really never do find anything.  Just the other day, my DD and I were looking for some instructions to some product I had purchased.  I tend not to read the instructions for the new item, but just put them away for later!!  I really do save everything  -- as my DD will attest -- but often forget where!!!  But, I am not walking into a room to get something and then forget what it is I went for....at least...not yet!!! @SaRina @nana59 About that mop.  I haven't seen Joy Mangano's movie yet (and probably won't) so I don't know for sure, but I saw where HSN just had her selling an 'updated' mop last week.

It looks like the old kind of mops that used to be sold with the long strings hanging down.  I saw her standing in the floor with the mop and she was making a big circle at how you could stand still and reach a big area.  Based on that I think you could finish off that parking lot in a day or two.  You MIGHT have to change the water a time or two, but what the hay!  Right?

My family teased me constantly at how QVC stock must be taking a 'hit' right now because I'm on vacation and not ordering things.

All old grandmas like me hear stuff like that.  Ha!  Doesn't bother me.  They're just worried I'm spending their inheritance (and I am).

I have lots of boxes and jewelry packages to open that came while I was gone.  It's like Merry Christmas to me!  Ha!

Some I keep, some I give away and some I send back.

It does my heart good though to hear my youngest daughter tell everyone, "Mom sent me the cordless Dyson vacuum and that thing is awesome"!  Then the oldest says, "Mom sent me a Dyson a few years ago but it wasn't the animal.  My husband gave me the animal for Christmas and it's awesome".  So the middle daughter chimes in and says, "Mommie (she calls me that when she wants something).....my canister Dyson you sent me isn't doing so well".  I smiled and said, "They're good at fixing things.  Take it to Dyson and get it repaired".  I will hold the line if Dyson comes back as a TSV....

@corita  Directions?  What are they?  The joke with family and friends is, 'if you get something from Annabelle, you will have to figure out how to work it or call the company for directions because I open up the product, look (keyword) at the directions and put the two things (the directions and the product) in totally different places.

My guy friend is still looking for the spinal to a Tiffany lamp.  I went through a fit several years ago when HSN was selling Tiffany lamps and bought so many I could open a lighting store!  Ha!  So he helped me do some things and I gave him a few, but one of the top spinals got separated.  He could get a new one but he's being a pain in the (opposite end of neck).

It's so funny to walk into my friend's houses.  They have so much QVC and HSN stuff it's funny.  They've never bought any of it, I do the barter thing with them.  Works for me!  When they see it they think of me.

My friend watched my cats while I was in Florida.  I told her to go into the sewing room and get a few bags of yarn.  She did.  She's happy, I'm happy.  Works for everyone!  She makes afghans for me to give to people, I pay her but she also uses the yarn I give her.  Everyone's happy!

Now back to that mop!  I have the spin mop in a spare bedroom.  Never used it.  I wonder if that's the mop Joy discovered.  It kind of looks like the one I saw her with.  I know it's there because I've fallen over it a few times.  I know better than to put it in 'a safe place'.

I better not put one of my cats in 'a safe place'.  Ha!

I was honestly shocked to see lightbulbs being offered on HSN at all, let alone as a TS.

My favorite part about the light bulbs is that they are supposed to last for 22 years - and come with a 90-day auto-ship plan.

Unfortunately, I am still receiving a lot of catalogues.  I just purchased some

tops and a vest from JJill.  It is embarrassing---I'm almost on a first name basis with the UPS driver. In checking my tracking, a pair of leggings is arriving today.

LLBean arrived yesterday as well!  Then I found a handbag from Hobo International that I'm on the fence about...

I donated several items from two closets, and my husband says the closets look the same.  Haha....I wonder why....

But yes, like you, I'm not too interested in hooks or light bulbs.

I really need to make a New Year's Resolution about not buying so much....

STARTING TOMORROW....haha

I chuckled when you wrote about forgetting where purchases are stored.  It happens to me, too!  The most recent example was yesterday; although, this latest memory lapse was even worse!  I had (just) purchased several of Peter Thomas Roth new facial mask threesomes, and I put some aside for spur of the moment gifts.  The jars are such pretty little things, perfect for a small gift, and PTR had included little gold presentation bags which held one jar.   I was visiting an old friend, yesterday, and wanted to bring her one. I located the little jars but NO pretty little gold bags.  I have no clue where I put them. Most likely I will find them in my sock drawer Smiley Happy
