Ahhh, the joys of living in earthquake country, where just off the coast, we have the Triple Junction. That's where three plates meet. The Pacific Plate, the North American Plate, and the Gorda Plate. The North end of the San Andreas fault comes up here, before making a left turn, to head West, and go out in to the Pacific.

I was sitting on my couch, when it started, slowly, and mild at first. Then it got stronger.

I was too surprised to do anything, except to say, "Okay!" over and over again.

In my head, I was like, "Okay, you have my attention. You can stop shaking, now!"

No damage to anything, and no injuries.

Everybody is fine, including my dad and the cats, who were outside when it happened.

The epicenter was located in Bayside, which is in Humboldt County. It was located 15 miles south-east of where I live.

It felt like a rolling quake, as opposed to a thrust quake, and it felt shallow, and close to the earth's surface, as opposed to being deep.

@Plaid Pants2

Having lived there, I completely sympathize.  At the time, ('70's), in the area where I lived, they were the "rolling" not the "jolting" type.  The aftershocks too I dislike immensely.   I hope you will continue to be safe and I will keep you in my prayers.
