Don't answer. They have already figured out a connection and will use it. Notify your phone carrier and request that they also place you on a do not call list.

Wasn't this a plot line from a scary movie many hrs ago? ""Stranger in the House"" or something like that?

Thanks for that info dooBdoo. I am going to look into that myself.
You're welcome, Scotty! Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!
I hope she didn't answer. Whenever your own caller ID is displayed, unless you really did call your own number you can be sure it's another criminal hoax, and 99.99% sure it originated in another country.
Yup all is good here and I hope the same for you.I went to the nomorobo site and put in my information and it sent me a link in my email. Then I clicked on that link but I am not sure what happens after you sign up. It says something about software, etc.
How does this all work? I'm being cautious about going further
Great!
It's a completely safe site. (They won the Federal Trade Commission's Robocall Challenge, and they work with the FTC.) The setup varies depending upon the service carrier, so just follow the steps. If you feel uncomfortable with it, just talk to your provider (if they have good tech support -- some of them don't) or use the "Contact" option on the Nomorobo site.

Thanks DooBdoo!
I will look into this further then.

You're welcome! I should've added: the video on their website home page gives a pretty good look at how the system works. Also, you can scroll down on the same home page and click on the various articles.

I got that call last week.
I tried your suggestion Doobdoo, it's not available in my area though.
Thanks anyway.

Sweetie......I don't answer my phone anymore unless I know who it is....... What gives me a funny feeling is that my cable provider (also phone) show who the caller is on my TV screen.....and then I see it's my name and number.......
I think I will check into this too dBd......thanks.

You're welcome, nunya. Be sure to use the phone number they provide, and ask your carrier to add them to your area. The more requests, the more coverage -- and more participants means they'll learn of additional "bad" numbers to block. It's a win-win for the good guys.![]()
