Re: Just Got Back From Grocery Shopping And...

To be fair, I can't say that the OP shouldn't post whatever she pleases. We all should be able to do that.

Yes and everyone is able to post an opinion about what is shared so why are those posts a problem for you @CalminHeart?

Yes, everyone can respond.  But why is snark needed from a responder or from someone defending the responder?

Re: Just Got Back From Grocery Shopping And...

I went yesterday to stock up through the end of August.  The shelves were well-stocked, but the cleaning aisle was practically empty.  I wasn't looking for sales - I went aisle by aisle and bought what I needed.  People were masked but, unlike me, none wore plastic gloves.

Re: Just Got Back From Grocery Shopping And...

My experience is a little different than those posted here.  In Kentucky we also have a mandate about wearing masks now in public places but I have been to Meijer's and to Lowe's and the amount of people STILL without masks is appalling.  What's wrong with people????  (Rhetorical question...I know what's wrong with them.)

Hi @caroln242 , I also live in Kentucky and while I haven't been to any stores since the mandate went into effect, I'm not surprised.  I don't step foot in Meijer' or Lowe's since my ONE visit to both a few months back.  I've also crossed most Kroger shopping off my list.  Every man, woman and child for themselves!

I don't know what's wrong with people.  I have theories but too long to go into now and what's the point?  I just wish we had the ability to enforce the mandate since people are just too dumb/obstinate/ignorant/"free",pick your adjective, to do what's known to help stop the spread.

I only go to the markets now that do a good job with requiring masks and distancing.

Re: Just Got Back From Grocery Shopping And...

I totally agree with you about Kroger.  Loads of people walking around there with no masks, like they didn't have a care in the world.  I actually reported the Kroger by me to the KY hotline, there were so many without masks and the store was obviously not complying with the mandate.  Not even a sign at the front of the store to acknowledge the mask mandate.  No enforcement by anybody.   Why have the mandate at all if no one pays attention to it?  Again, rhetorical.
