Just FYI - Bank of America customers -- SCAM😡

Just sharing in case others have received this email.  This is the 3rd one today.  I contacted BOA as the email stated "confirm" no way was I doing this.

Anyway, it's not from BOA ...and they put me thru to "fraud unit" to report.  (We do have BOA accounts).

Thank you for sharing that @homedecor1.  I'm glad you recognized it and were able to report it.  I also hope they can figure out who's doing it so they can put a stop to it.

I've gotten two different scam emails from Chase Bank in the past week. They looked very authentic but weren't. I forwarded them to the appropriate dept at Chase.
I have a Bank of America credit card but haven't gotten t hff st scam email yet.

@Kachina624

Lucky you!  I get annoyed at these & wish I didn't 🤷‍♀️

The problem really for me is they look real -- how many people "click" the link😡😡

Woman FrustratedI get 'real' emails like this often!

Never click on links in an email. Go to the 'source' website (in this case Bank Of America) and the request will be with your secure messages  if it was real! Also- hover over the 'from' email address in your inbox and you'll often see the REAL source of the email. Although the scammers have probably figured out a work around with this.

Just a  reminder to anyone with a BOA account ....  If you get something that looks like fraudulent email, simply forward it to  abuse@bankofamerica.com.
