After I've purchased something on Amazon, they send me emails that feature what I already purchased. Not just on items like coffee reminding me it's time to buy more, but on durable items like an appliance or garden tool. It make no sense. Now if the items were add ons like flower bulbs or a rack for hanging rakes and shovels I might be interested.

Well, here's the thing ..... a lot of people think if they put it in their shopping cart, they have reserved it, and it will stay there until they decide to pay for it.  Not so.

The item is still up for grabs until you actually pay for the item.

I don't doubt that a lot of people have gotten upset  because they put something in their shopping cart, and someone else "bought it"  by selecting the same item and actually paying for it.

So, the reminders are understandable.

QVC does something similar and it infuriates me. I haven't ordered anything from QVC in over 2 years, but I will look at items to price compare, etc. Within a few hours after I've looked at an item on QVC's website, I will start getting emails with the subject line "something you love is waiting for you" or "something you looked at is still available."

I just delete these emails. If a retailer pesters me to buy, then I ignore them. It angers me that I can't even look at an item without getting emails.

Nope.  HSN does that when I am looking at an item not necessarily to purchase, they will send an email, ' Nice Choice,' etc., I just click on 'unsubscribe' for future emails.

No, when I get an email after just browsing, I don't even read it, I just delete.

Do I go back and buy it?  No.  If I wanted it I would have purchased it when I was looking.  But the emails don't bother me.

I've found that this works mostly on ETSY.

@QVCkitty1 If I really want something I buy it. If I might want it I'll add it to the cart to watch for a sale or if I keep thinking about it I will go back & buy it.

I hope you liked your earrings.

I like that reminder better than the pop up when I am looking at something that says "Marge Pekkerfaurt just bought this" or "Hurry this item is selling fast".
