According to Wikipedia, the Friesian breed is a very old breed, and they have many characteristics of a draft horse, but more refined.  At one time they were used by knights in armour!  There are plans for the Friesians to be entered in a competition called dressage.

I think he's the Darth Vader of the horse world.  It'll be interesting to see if Freishian can do dressage which requires very precise, controlled movements by horse and rider.  The movements are very delicate and subtle so it'll be interesting to see if a draft-type of horse can be that dainty.  I have my doubts.

I saw a video clip a few days ago of him with his owner/trainer and he was beautiful and graceful.  I wish I could remember where I saw it.
