As I sit here listening to jury selection (for the Casey Anthony case), I hear a few potential jurors telling of health issues, child care or caring for an elderly parent issue, etc etc. to the judge. I am puzzled.
Here in PA we can fill this out and get a doctors note (or whatever note applies) and then we would be excused by mail "before having to go before the judge".
So I am just curious about other peoples states, and if they ask these questions on all questionnaires in your states?
(or maybe their health excuse etc excuse wasnt good enough "ahead of time", I dont know but it seems strange to me why they wait until they are in the courtroom to speak up therefore wasting the courts time).
