Hello @2blonde,
Oh! NO!, My husband will not use those in his closet for any type of clothing. About the same complaint, he said [those] as yours; take longer to wrestle with and that his shirts/ pull over Tees and difficult to remove, also his dress shirts, especially the jeans and dress pants, cling too close and 'JUST STICK' to the garments.
He prefers the basic wood hanger for his suits, and fought with JOY hangers until he found the other heavier plastic hangers where his clothing can slide >>off.
{{{ For my self, I have the 1st of the her hangers going back when she had those in her 3rd year}}. Using now.
There is one box I have that are still very new /unused that I use for my peasant blouses, silky type long pant set that keeps them from falling off.
I don't have any use to buy anymore since I purchased the 60 piece set of shirt hangers & for pants.
I thought the older 1st ones were very nice, only 2 have broken. I do use those for myself most of the time.
Our son didn't want any of the hangers, either.
Not much of anything else of hers do I own, other than 6 of the steamers that kept going bad- period. They were going to be gifted until my 1st one totally stopped working after 6 weeks.
The last one is a mini and has kept on -kept ON working now close to 5+ months. Definitely something very cheap in the manufacturing for my other 5, must have been been in the good luck line with this last one.(?)
I remember one of the host at 'q' 5 years ago saying, do you want quality or many of the quanity? I knew exactly what she meant.
Nothing very ingenious of any design, that I have not own, from a better source.
Borders, it appears on, - down to the masses of a very inexpensive whatever she has made, for what I have read, in reviews.
Each vendor, each station, I believes has a certain group that follows her/ his product and they stays with that particular vendor.
From what I had read, her products are more on the glued together strategy, and hope for the best.
Most reviews having 1 star or close to it, many of those have been removed.
I know from 7 years ago, many people just wanted to call in- Loved to call in and tell her they either loved the price, or loved her. That's about all I know of Joy with the INGENIOUS DESIGNS.
Made a lucrative living with she & a certain group of "C" -made stuff.

It's possible that nothing at will change for her. The people who were doing all the work and developing her products are the losers here.
@chrystaltree @classic, see my post.
I absolutely agree. Many people will never know 'THIS'.

Have not had any problems like that with the hangers--have them in sort of a gray/taupe color.
Have some of the knockoffs in brighter colors but no color transfer with them either. But they don't hold as much weight and the metal hook isn't fastened as well--sometimes comes out completely.
I actually had one of her hangers break today. All I did was remove a dress from it. It's not the first time - I've had this happen with her hangers many times..
Mine are black, and I've never had color transfer issues. But I find the knock-offs sold in Bed Bath & Beyond to be far superior.
