Tansy, I knew you were kidding, but I really thought it might be a possibility. Al Franken went into politics, so it's not a stretch to think that Stewart might. (Sorry I couldn't quote your post, as I'm on my tablet and it can't handle quoting, LOL)

I enjoyed them both.

Although some of the uniformed actually didn't know the difference between their satire and the real thing. It is almost frightening.

Sad to see him go! (PS) I read hes retiring but I doubt it. Hes not that old and I bet he wont be able to sit still, unless he plans to travel etc.
