If you are referring to Public Law 106-579, the National...

If you are referring to

Public Law 106-579, the National Moment of Remembrance, it is,

-) On Memorial Day

-) 3:00 pm local time

-) for 1 minute duration

One minute, not three minutes.

MLB will stop games at 3:00 for 1 minute.

NASCAR will stop racing at 3:00 for 1 minute.

Many other entities will honor a moment of silence at 3:00...for 1 minute

It's not the # of minutes that counts, it's the intent.

Funny....I was expecting a comment like this.

I agree...it's not the minutes.

If you want 3 minutes, 3 months, 3 years of silence, go for it.

But that's how incorrect information perpetuates itself

thoughout many, many years. It's not rocket science,

Memorial Day. 3pm local. 1 minute.

It's Public Law 106-579 established by Congress.

I've been thinking about all the soldiers who have given their lives and their familes all week. I also think of people in my family and friends who have passed during this time, it's a holiday of rememberance in general to me.
