Re: John Lewis’ Funeral Tomorrow

John Lewis was an exceptional person. He risked his life to make our country a better place. He constantly got into "good trouble","necessary trouble " to further the cause.

I loved the speeches by Presidents Busch & Clinton.I particularly loved the moving eulogy by President Obama. Today I was reminded what is good & decent about our Country.

RIP John Lewis💐.You left this world a much better place than you found it.

Re: John Lewis’ Funeral Tomorrow

Can I say sorrowful yet uplifting at the same time?  John Lewis is not nor ever will be lost nor forgotten. He will always be in our hearts and minds. He will be at the head of the line, in the future marches. He has made us better participants and uniting people. I believe, he has united many, many divisions.

He was a true living hero. Not an actor nor a baseball player etc. but a loving, caring, true to himself and others, soldier. Someone truly to be admired and looked up to!

I believe, he is one of the great men of our time!

Everyone, stay well and be careful out there, wherever you are.

Most of all, Always Be True To Yourself!!!

Happiness is not a destination, it is a way of life.

Exactly, he wasn't the Pope or the Queen. Many other wonderful people have died and barely get a mention and if they do it is often critical.

Tique,

What joy!  Thank you for posting that video.

Witchy Woman, I agree, John Lewis "had the moves."  That impressed me so much.

Rock on, sir!  Rock on!

@JaneMarple  Thank you for adding class in all caps.  I will add articulate.

If you need a smile or 2 find the clip of John Lewis dancing at I believe Arethea Franklin's service and President meeting little boy dressed as Superman in the hallway at the White House.

Yes, that’s what VP Biden said about him… “clean and articulate. “

Re: John Lewis’ Funeral Tomorrow

What is the motivation of some to post on a thread that is a tribute to a public servant for decades on the day of his funeral with unwarranted negative remarks???
