My older brother (Glenn) was named after him.  Always enjoyed reading about him.  He had an amazing life.

Something just struck me.  The year 2016 started with the death of David Bowie on January 10.  He wrote the song "Starman" that has the fascinating line, "There's a starman waiting in the sky."  And the year closes with the death of our phenomenal starman, John Glenn, who now is truly and permanently in the sky.  Some real "biggies" left the earth this year.   I don't know, but I am really mourning the loss of John Glenn and the sort of person he was.  Such people are fast disappearing.
