That was bound to happen. So, what? He's going home to Italy, not some struggling third world country and he and that wife of his will cash in big time. I see a reality show in their future. Joe and Theresa making a life for themselves in Italy. Oh, the struggles! Oh, the drama! The'll be raking in the "reality" show money. Crime does pay.

Good riddance to bad rubbish! Italy can have him.

@Hooty. Well he seems to be helping Kim Kartrashian, so why not take a chance? LoL
Focus on the facts of the case, the sentence was out of all proportion to the offence.
Clemency was granted to Alice Marie Johnson. She spent 21 years in prison for a first-time nonviolent drug offence. She was serving a life sentence without parole.
Those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance.

@MorningLover. And you do realize there are plenty of people in prison just like her? What about them? Why should only one get special treatment?

Ya.....that probably would be a little hypocritical to help him not to mention hurtful to all those hanging in limbo.

He caused his own issues.

She has a criminal record so will Italy accept her?

I believe Teresa's parents were straight from Italy just like Joe's so she would be an Italian citizen by descent if I remember the Italian citizenship laws correctly.
Unless they became naturalized citizens here in the US which automatically renounces Italian citizenship, then she's in trouble and at the Italian courts' mercy.
I'd be shocked if she left with him. Their girls are established in school and with friends and family here. Maybe she hangs tough until the youngest is in college and skypes and does summers abroad but I can't imagine uprooting young kids who are halfway through their education like that.
