They seldom do.
Posters should know better than to point out missteps.
If you are going to post a blow by blow story and ask for opinions, then pointing out missteps is part of the deal.
IMO.
you're exactly right...........however......the general mentality here is........let me post a blow by blow post with all the details and then everyone come running and give me atta girls, because what I really don't want is another view, or any cautionary advise....just tell me I'm wonderful......................LOL.............just doesn't work like that in real life, even on virtual paper........................................raven

You did absolutely the right thing. He could very well be a s*x offender (does the company do background checks on their clients?) with a history, and s*x offenders are very good at "grooming" their next victims in a variety of ways.
It was right that you left and reported him to your employer. They need to send someone out to "assess" him to see if he has early onset dementia or other mental issues. If he doesn't, then he needs to be dropped as a client asap.

If the guy has dementia, he might have forgotten that you were there as a home health aide. The lines were blurred, as others said, when you sat on the bed, brought him a birthday cake, took your dog with you. He probably forgot what your role was and confused you for his girlfriend.

It is her responsibility to deal with it. I would not notify anyone. Not his family and not your HR dept. Let your supervisor do those things if he/she deems it appropriate.
At the very least, Jules' supervisor should have documented the incident and, if she hasn't, Jules needs to go to her supervisor's superior to get it on paper and properly filed.

So do I... The OP sounds very immature. Oooh, I can't wait for her to come back and read all this "negativity".... If we don't all agree, then we are the nasty ones. Too bad, so sad....If you put it all out there, then you have to take the good with the bad and stop the nastiness that shows a lack of maturity.
