The FDA recalls over 80% of prescription drugs:

  In 2014 there were 836 recalls to either eliminate the drug, or revise the label.

  In 2013 there were 1,225.

Aren't we gullible to believe that if the FDA approves something, then it's safe.  Oddly, when a mother says that her child became "ill" immediately after their vaccine, we are to believe there is no correlation?

Yes, this is where the idiocy started with Jenny McCarthy....the Hollywood types base their misguided opinions on faulty studies which have been disproven for years. The vaccines are safe and have been given together for years....very few have reactions and when they do, the CDC follows those cases for causation. More have been helped by vaccines than hurt. The WHO and CDC make the guidelines backed by the AMA and Pediatric/gynecology & Obstetric professional organizations....opinions based on empirical evidence and experience...but, then, Jim Carey knows so much more...duh

Becoming ill is not always a reaction....it is the degree of "sick" or "ill". Irritability, low grade fever, local reaction or a slight cough is an expected side effect and subsides spontaneously ....a severe reaction is always investigated if a health care provider reports it and he/she must....there are very few severe reactions to vaccines....or at the time, the child may have a cold and a parent doesn't mention it and it does happen; as a nurse I have seen it.

We do better than other civilized countries with the FDA and many natural remedies have no controls and cause serious harm to some or interact with medications. Vaccines have gotten safer over the years and controls are very tight because they are given to the most vulnerable in our society.

Correlation means that two things occur at or about the same time.  It DOES NOT mean one thing caused the other.
